Elmer Carlton| Jr.

Elmer "Junior" Carlton, Jr., 73, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at his reisdence in Ghent, KY.

He was born on November 16, 1936 in Ghent, KY., the son of the late Elmer Carlton, Sr., and Melvina (Furnish) Carlton. He had formerly worked at the Teledyne-Wirtz Factory in Carrollton as a maintenance worker for 38 years. He was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and gardening and in his earlier days he enjoyed coon' hunting.

He will be missed by his wife, Barbara Carlton, his daughter, Debbie Carlton Marsh of Ghent, KY., and one brother, Roland Carlton of Worthville, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth Ryan Carlton and Alfred "Buster" Carlton.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ghent Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating the service. Burial was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Ghent Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler- Riley Funeral Home.

5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. - Tuesday - June 7, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home and on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Ghent Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
