Emma Faye Kopp Arvin, 88, of Carrollton, KY, and formerly of Madison, IN, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the her home in Carrollton.
She was born in the small community of Locust, in Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Anthony W. Kopp and Anna Raisor Kopp. She was a homemaker and a member of the Carrollton Christian Church and had attended the First Christian Church in Madison, IN. She was a member of the O.E.S. Chapter #525 in Hanover, IN, the RSVP in Madison, IN, the V.F.W. Post 1969 in Madison, IN., and the Red Hat Society in Madison, IN. She had sang with the vocal group Virginia & The Sunshiners. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, quilting, hand sewn embroidery, hiking, walking, dancing, playing the guitar and reading.
She is survived by a daughter, Lora Fay Arvin Ames of Carrollton, KY, a son, William Paul “Billy” (Kathy) Arvin of Carrollton, KY, two grandchildren, Melissa Arvin Robbins and Tammy Jones, one step-granddaughter, Brandie Butler Ames, four great grandchildren, Zachary Robbins, Kaeley Robbins, Shani Sims and Devin Jones, and six great - great grandchildren, Carson Robbins, Bladon Robbins, Kynlee Robbins, Audrey Sims, Savannah Sims and Weston Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Luther Arvin on October 15, 1996, seven sisters, Effie Kopp, Jean Ratliff, Ann Troxell, Jessie Thomas, Pauline Blankenship, Mary Blackburn and Edith Herndon, three brothers, Sherman, John and William Kopp, one grandchild, Sammy Green.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
