Emma Jean Lee Pate, 91, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
She was born on December 19, 1930, in Campbellsburg, Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late William and Emma Tharp Welsh and adopted by the late Jim Lee and Elvessa McEndre Lee. Emma Jean had formerly attended the English School and had graduated from Carrollton High School in 1948 and went on to attend Mid-Way College. She had formerly worked as a Bank Teller for Stockyard Bank in Louisville, KY. Emma Jean had also worked as a Cook for the English School, and the Carroll County Senior Citizen’s. She was a member of the English Baptist Church.
Emma Jean will be missed by her three sons, Thomas (Terry) Pate of Turners Station, KY, Johnny (Shawna) Pate of Carrollton, KY, and Billy (Karen) Pate of Carrollton, KY, a daughter, Rebecca Pate Davis of Carrollton, KY, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Earl Pate in 1994, a son, Tony L. Pate and twelve brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
