Ernest William Boram, Sr., 83, of Carrollton, KY., died at 3:02 A.M. on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.
He was born on May 1, 1924 in McCordsville, IN., the son of the late Roy Lee and Vera May (Lutterell) Boram. Ernest was a retired truck driver for Moon Freightline Company in Indianapolis, IN. He served his country during World War II., in the U.S Navy. He was a member of the Carroll County Fair Board and an organizer for the 9th Street Neighborhood Watch Program in Carrollton.
He will be missed by two sons; Ernest William Boram, Jr. of Carrollton, KY., and William Robert Boram of Walnut Creek, CA., a brother; Chet Boram of Indianapolis, IN., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Hazel May Fultz.
The Rev. Samuel Grathler conducted the funeral service on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen entombment was at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
