Eugene Arnold, 85, of Worthville, KY., died on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw, KY.

He was born on September 5, 1926 in Worthville, Carroll County, KY., the son of the late Rella and Allie Cottrell Arnold. Eugene was a farmer, a former member of the Worthville Volunteer Fire Department and a Kentucky Colonel. He served his country in the U.S. Army having obtained the rank of Private First Class with the Company D 50th Military Police.

He will be missed by his three daughters, Penny Tuttle of Sanders, KY., Pat Lucas of Ghent, KY., and Peggy Maxwell of Wheatley, KY., a sister, Hazel Ingram of Beachwood, KY., four brothers, J.D. Arnold and Albert Arnold of Worthville, KY., Charles Arnold of Ft. Mitchell, KY., and Clinton Arnold of Owenton, KY., eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Randall Gene Arnold, three sisters, Ruby Sachleban, Nolad and Mary Katherine Arnold, two brothers, Ira and R.C. Arnold.

Funeral Services were on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Scherer, Rev. Matt Dye and Rev. Hardin Lowe officiated the funeral service.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Gifts may be given to the Worthville, Dallasburg or Sanders Baptist Church's Building Funds in care of the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. - Thursday - November 3, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

2:00 P.M. - Friday - November 4, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Interment

Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery - Wheatley, KY.
