Eugene Brent

Eugene Carroll Brent, 85, formerly of Carrollton, KY., died on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Heartland Hospice in Augusta, GA.
He was bron on November 20, 1923 in Campbellsburg, Henry County, KY., the son of the late William Carey and Roxie (Pyles) Brent. He was a retired supervisor for Wirz/Teledyne factory in carrollton, he also enjoyed farming in earlier years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a motor machinist mate 3rd class. Eugene was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Evans, GA.
He will be missed by his wife; Nancy Elizabeth (McMannis) Brent of Martinez, GA., his three daughters; Sandra Brent Lentz of Martinez, GA., Ilene Brent of Lansdale, PA., and Carol Beth Brent Wittschen of Washington, GA., five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Erby Brent Bryant, Willena Brent Lawrence and Evelyn Brent, three brothers;Rocky, William and Charles Brent.
The Rev. Joe Kindoll officiated the services on Tuesday evening, January 6, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial gifts were given to the Cove Hill Baptist Church.
