Eva Jo Daly, 93, of Carrollton, KY, died peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Signature Healthcare of Carrollton Rehab & Wellness Center in Carrollton.
She was born on March 4, 1924 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Carey Judson Riley and Mary Elizabeth Sebree Riley. She was of the Baptist faith, and when she was younger living in the Ghent area she attended the Ghent Baptist Church. She had served as a Stenographer for the U.S. Army after the World War II. Era and went on to retire as a executive secretary at White Sands Missile Base. When she lived out west, she had served as past president and secretary of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society in Truth or Consequences, NM. She enjoyed Crocheting and her dogs. She really enjoyed playing the piano and organ for hours at a time in the peacefulness of her home.
She is survived by a son and daughter in-law, Mike (Julie) Lewis of Sanders, KY, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great - great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene T. Daly, a sister, Mary Carolyn ( Riley) Kring, and a brother, Dr. Thomas L. Riley.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Sims officiating the service. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the English Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
