Evelyn Zapp

Julia Evelyn Swinney Zapp, 87, of Carrollton, KY., died on Monday morning, March 12, 2007 at the Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.
She was born in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, FL., on March 16, 1919, the daughter of the late John T. Swinney and Irene (Trippe) Swinney. Evelyn was a School Teacher and a Homemaker. She was a former Owner and Partner of Zapp's Appliance Store in Carrollton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and a former member of the Carrollton Women's Club.
Survivors include her son; Regie Zapp of Carrollton, KY., a sister; Willie Irene Swinney of Carrollton, KY., and two grandchildren; Bethany Zapp and Alan Zapp.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; Harold Edward Zapp on August 20, 1995.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Northern Kentucky Hospice. Memorial Gift Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
The Rev. Gerald Reinersman will conduct the Graveside Service on Wednesday morning at the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton.
Arragements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
