Frances Scheffler

Frances Irene Elmore Scheffler, 83, formerly of Worthville, KY and Mansfield, OH, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in Lawrenceburg, KY.  She was the wife of the late Robert Dean Scheffler.  Born May 15, 1935 in Grade Springs, VA, Frances was the daughter of the late Charles Monsey Elmore and Ida Ruth Bordwine Elmore.

Along with her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Elmore, Jr. and a sister, Hilda Harris.

Frances formerly worked as a retail clerk with Dollar General Store and as a hostess at General Butler State Park in Carrolton, KY.  She was of the Catholic faith and loved her cats.

She is survived by her four children, Bobbie A. (Richard) Hannan of Mansfield, OH, Robert E. (Lavon) Scheffler of Aurora, IN, Fred L. (Alice) Scheffler of Corinth, KY, and Charles D. (Kay) Scheffler of Lawrenceburg, KY; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a brother, Jerry (Jean) Elmore of Meadowview, VA; and two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Goff of Emory, VA and Revonda Duncan of Frankfort, KY.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
