Franklin Jordan, Sr., 62, of Wheatley, KY., died on Saturday morning, September 5, 2009 in Carroll County, KY., from injuries received in a automobile accident.
He was born on May 13, 1947 in Louisville, KY., the son of the late Orval F. Jordan and Mary K. (Stewart) Jordan of Wheatley, KY. He was a retired Minister and had attended Southern Seminary. Franklin served his country during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother; Mary K. (Stewart) Jordan of Wheatley, Ky., a daughter; Kimberly Nicotra of St. Petersburg, FL., two son's; Franklin D. Jordan, Jr. of Louisville, KY., and Joshua E. Jordan of Louisville, KY., six grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The Rev. Emory Eldridge officiated funeral services on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Burial followed the service at the Port Royal Cemetery.
The Carrollton American Legion Post #41 presented Military Honors at the Graveside.
Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
