Gayla May

Gayla Frances May, 80, of Carrollton, KY, died on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on June 16, 1940 in Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Leslie Meadows, Sr., and Rosa Bromwell Meadows.  She had spent many years as a housewife, raising her family and working on the family farm, especially making sure the grass was cared for.  She had had worked at the former Kawneer Factory in Milton for a several years.

She is survived by a daughter; Robin R. Walls of Carrollton, KY, a son; Lamont C. “Monty” Imel and his wife; Tammy of Kokomo, IN, a step - daughter;  Glenda Liter and her husband; Keith of Bedford, KY,  eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Paul Sid May, two stepsons’; Todd and P.B. May, two sisters; Mary Helen and Geraldine Dunn, and two brothers; Leslie Meadows, Jr., and Donald Meadows.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limiting the funeral home building occupancy to 50% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy.  We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements and all attendees will be required to wear a face mask.
