Gene Davis

Gene Davis, 77, of Florence, KY., formerly of Carrollton, KY., and Daytona Beach, FL., died on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY.

He was born on February 1, 1935 in Sanders, Carroll County, KY., the son of the late Ellis and Ruth Marie Baker Butch. He retired on February 1, 1990 from the U.S. Postal Service as a Window Clerk after 35 years of Service. He was a member of the South Daytona Beach Baptist Church. When he was living in Carrollton he was active with the local Salvation Army.

He will be missed by his wife Wilda Jo (Hendricks) Davis of Florence, KY., his three sons, Mark Davis of Carrollton, KY., Tom Davis of Union, KY., and Chuck Davis of Louisville, KY., a brother, James Morgan of LaGrange, KY., six grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
