George Abbott

George Earl Abbott, 74, of Carrollton, KY., died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on January 12, 1939 in New Castle, Henry County, KY., the son of the late John Shelton Abbott and Iva Lee Peyton Abbott. He was a farmer and owned and operated an Auto and Farm Equipment Repair in Prestonville for 10 years. He had previously been a machinist for 25 years with Armor Elevator, Murphy Elevator and Lerko Manufactoring Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Thomas Abbott of Carrollton, KY., four daughters, Sheila (Bill) Reynolds of Carrollton, KY., Sandy Abbott of Carrollton, KY., Kathy (Julian)Mitchell of Carrollton, KY., Karen (Paul) Wyman of Carrollton, KY., a son, Steve (Gwen) Abbott of Carrollton, KY., a sister, Mary Abbott of Louisville, KY., a brother, Gilbert S. Abbott of Shelbyville, KY., nine grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell, Nicholas Abbott, Natalie Abbott, Neil Abbott, Scott Abbott, Aaron Wyman, Blake Reynolds and Kaden Reynolds also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Shelton Abbott and Iva Lee Peyton Frazier, two sisters, Viola Frazier and Maudye Coleman and one grandson, Parker Aaron Wyman.
Funeral Services were on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating the service.
Visitation
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating the service.
Interment
Interment of ashes at St. John Catholic Cemetery- Carrollton, KY, at a later date.
