George William Lee, Jr.
George William Lee, Jr., beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed on May 9, 2024, at the age of 68, in Edgewood, Kenton County, KY. He was born on September 17, 1955, in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY.
Throughout his life, George dedicated over 46 years to his work at Nucor Steel and Clean Coal as a project coordinator. He was known for his unwavering dedication and commitment to his career. However, beyond his professional accomplishments, George will be remembered for his profound love for his family. He was incredibly family oriented and cherished spending time with his loved ones above all else.
In his leisure time, George found joy in various hobbies and interests. He enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, fishing, singing karaoke, playing guitar, and coaching summer league baseball in Gallatin County, KY. His diverse interests reflected his lively spirit and zest for life.
George is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Brooks Lee of Sparta, KY; sons Eric M. (Neece) Lee of Carrollton, KY and David S. (Elizabeth) Lee of Sparta, KY; daughter-in-law Rachel Lee of Donna, TX; brother Lloyd Lee of Worthville, KY; sisters Evangelene Harsin of Verona, KY and Sharon Lee of Carrollton; as well as fourteen grandchildren who were dear to his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents George William Lee, Sr. and Allene Mahoney Lee; son Joseph Lee; brothers Dwayne Lee and Michael Lee; as well as sisters Rhoda Satchwell and Debbie Doolin.
Funeral Services to honor and celebrate George's life will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. on Wednesday, May 15, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
