Glenn Allen Johnson, 65, of Sparta, KY,  died on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home in Sparta, KY.

He was born on September 27, 1953 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Elkanah Johnson and Eula Mae Shaw Johnson.  He had worked as a Carpenter most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Prather Johnson of Sparta, KY, three sons, Allen Johnson of Sparta, KY, Jeffery Welch of Sanders, KY, and Ricky Welch of Carrollton, KY, a brother, Jerry (Donna) Johnson of Carrollton, KY, three sisters, Jewell (James) Wolfe of Carrollton, KY, Barbara (Larry) Burkhardt of Milton, KY, Mildrene “Mickey”  (Grant) Morris of Charlestown, IN, his “Mama 2” as she was known, Julie McIntosh of Carrollton, KY,  several grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Glenn Allen Johnson, Jr. and Larry Dewayne Johnson, a daughter, Amy Lynn Perkins, seven brothers, Garvin Johnson, Winston Johnson, Kanah Paul “Johnnie” Johnson, Joel Johnson, Clayborn Johnson, Leon Johnson and Jimmy Johnson, two sisters, Juanita White and Doris June Hylton and four grandchildren.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements
