Harold F. Hedges, 69, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 in Black River Falls, WI, while he and his wife were traveling on vacation.
He was born on February 16, 1947 in Shelbyville, Shelby County, KY, the son of the late Emmett Carl Hedges and Norma Samples Hedges. He was a truck driver for HAZMAT Enviromental based in Cincinnati, OH. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era in the Army Control Group based in St. Louis, MO. His memberships include the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton, KY, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1969 in Madison, IN, and the Moose Lodge in Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Rowan Hedges of Carrollton, KY, a step-daughter, Lucinda (Ted) Linville of Fairland, IN, a brother, Jim (Sandy) Hedges of Milton, KY, a grandson, Matthew Linville of Fairland, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Arnold and Douglas E. Hedges, two sisters, Joyce Peach and Loretta Phillips.
Local arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
A Celebration of his life will be on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Weed, 3202 U.S. Highway 42 West, Carrollton, KY 41008. Family and Friends are welcome are to bring a covered dish for the Celebration Service.
