Harold Hughes, Jr., 79, of Carrollton, KY., died on Friday evening, May 28, 2010 at the Green Valley Health and Rehab. Center in Carrollton, KY.
He was born on May 8, 1931 the son of the late Harold Hughes, Sr., and Mary E. Allen Hughes. Harold was retired from the First Baptist Church of Carrollton having served as the church custodian. He was a member of the Carrollton Lions Club and a Deacon for 27 years at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
Survivors include two daughters; Debbie Hughes and Lisa Hughes both of Carrollton, KY., four sons; Donald, Paul Sr., Clyde and Reece Hughes all of Carrollton, KY., a brother; George W. Hughes of Cosmo, Miss., fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Dorothy Woods and Annia Rae Hughes.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the First Baptist Church Of Carrollton with the Rev. Chris White officiating the service. Burial was in the Worthville Cemetery.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
