Harold Simmons| Jr.

Harold Simmons, Jr., 81, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday Morning, May 8, 2011 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

He was born on May 8, 1929 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., the son of the late Johnny Simmons and Pauline Breeden Simmons of Carrollton, KY. Mr. Simmons was retired from the former Reliance Electric Company in Madison, IN. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching birds.

He will be missed by his wife, Karen L. Rice Simmons of Carrollton, KY., his daughter, Gina F. Simmons Taulbee of Carrollton, KY., his sister, Thelma Ward of Carrollton, KY., a brother, Vernon D. Simmons of Carrollton, KY., three stepdaughters, Sharon M. Lucas of Goshen, IN., Bonnie L. Ulrich of Plymouth, IN., and Jayne A. Moyer of Niles, MI., a granddaughter, Carrie J. Wilson of Carrollton, KY., a great granddaughter, Haven Raine Hambrick of Carrollton, KY., several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Minnie Mitchel, two brothers, Douglas Simmons and Carl D. Simmons, and a step son, Norman V. Overholser.

Graveside Servies will be at 1:00 P.M. , Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison, IN., with Mr. Herb Kinman officiating the service.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - Noon on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, KY.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
