Helen Hudson

Helen L. Hudson, 83, of Worthville, KY., died on Sunday morning, June 22, 2008 at 7:40 A.M. at the Green Valley Health and Rehabilation Center in Carrollton, KY.

She was born on August 2, 1924 in Sparta, Gallatin County, KY., the daughter of the late Mark and Maude (Crowder) Gray. She was an Housewife and an active member of the Dean Memorial United Methodist Church in Worthville, KY. Helen was a former member of the Worthville Eastern Star Chapter and currently held a membership with the Carrollton Chapter of the Eastern Star #60.

Helen married the late Leonard Douglas Hudson on in 1942.

Survivors include a daughter; Cheryl Woods of Carrollton, KY., and a son; Mark Hudson of Dry Ridge, KY., a sister; Frances Roberts of Warsaw, KY., and one brother; Walter Gray of Florence, KY., three grandchildren, one great grandchild, two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Leonard Douglas Hudson who died in 1978, and one brother; Mark Gray, Jr.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Dean Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Norton officiating the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Owenton, KY.

Memorial gifts were given to the church.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
