Helen Turner

Helen May Turner, 85, of Carrollton, KY., died on Friday morning, July 11, 2008 at the Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice Unit in LaGrange, KY.

She was born on August 24, 1922 in Sweet Owen, Owen County, KY., the daughter of the late Fred and Martha Shields Raisor. She was a Housewife and a member of the Milton Baptist Church.

Survivors include a niece; Deborah Jane Lewellyn of Carrollton, KY., a nephew; Garry Lee Ennis of Carrollton, KY., two great nephews; Tim and Ross Lewellyn of Carrollton, KY., and one great niece Susan Lewellyn of Carrollton, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Stanley C. Turner and one sister; Louella Jane (Raisor) Ennis.

Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, July 14, 2008 by the Rev. Tom Jennings. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Owenton, KY.

Pallbearers were Tim and Tony Lewellyn. Andrew Jennings, Matthew Jennings, Stephen Couch and Rev. Stan Reedy. Honorary Pallbearers were Ross Lewellyn and Scott Jennings.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Gifts are suggested to the Gideon Memorial Bibles.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
