Ida Lewis

Ida B. Davis Lewis, 100, of Sanders, KY, died on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Signature Health Care of Carrollton.
She was born on October 26, 1915 in Worthville, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late John Davis and Maggie Cruse Davis. She retired in 1979 from the Carroll County School System as a School Teacher. She was a member of the Jordan Baptist Church in Sanders, KY, the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and the Carroll County Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by a son Edwin Davis Lewis of Sanders, KY, a daughter, Ann Lewis Smith of Lexington, KY, three grandchildren, Genesia Smith of Lexington, KY, Rodney Lewis of Lexington, KY, and Steven Lewis of Winchester, KY, six great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edwin Hunt Lewis to whom she was married to for 62 years at the time of his death on October 8 2004, a brother, Charlie Davis, and two grandchildren, Kristie Renee' Lewis and Edwin Eugene Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to the Carroll County Public Library or the Jordan Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Visitation
Visitation will be on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Funeral
Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. John Collett officiating the service.
