Imogene "Jean" Schirmer

Imogene "Jean" Marshall Schirmer, 77, of Ghent, KY., died on Tuesday morning, August 24, 2010 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

Jean as most people knew her was born on May 9, 1933 in English, Carroll County, KY., the daughter of the late Benjamin Martin Marshall and Essica M. Meadows Marshall. She was a homemaker and a member of the former Ghent Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter; Benita Harris of Paris, KY., three sons; Scott Schirmer of Ghent, KY., Darrell Schirmer of Winchester, KY., and Stuart Schirmer of Ghent, KY., a brother; Robert Marshall of Ghent, KY., four sisters; Eula Robertson of Carrollton, KY., Dona Wells of Carrollton, KY., Joyce Boggs of Cincinnati, OH., and Judy Keith of Sanders, KY., along with five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Stanley V. "Buster" Schirmer, two brothers; Benjamin Richard "Dick" Marshall and Charles William "Charlie Bill" Marshall and one sister; Dortha Parker.

Funeral Services were on Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Nickels officiating the service. Burial was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent, KY.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Gifts may be given to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

5:00 - 8:00 P.M. - Thursday - August 26, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

1:00 P.M. - Friday - August 27, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
