Iva Thompson

Mrs. Thompson was born in Owen County, KY to Thomas and Martha Franklin Bibb whom precede her in death. She was a longtime member of the Ghent Baptist Church where she was active in Women on Missions and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Her work in life was that of a homemaker and mother.

Survivors include two sons, Howard Bibb Thompson and his wife Cindy of Ghent, KY and Thomas Scott Thompson and his wife Terry of Ghent, KY, two sisters, Pauline Bibb of Carrollton, KY and Ruth Ligon of Sanders, KY, three grandchildren, Iva Marie Thompson, Luke Howard Thompson and Jake Alexander Thompson.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, her husband, Howard Vories Thompson, her daughter, Paula Thompson Pennington, three sisters, Addie Smith, Beulah Ligon and Tina Hardesty and three brothers, Clyde Bibb, Sylvester Bibb and Gayle Bibb.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Ghent Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

The Rev. Michael Galdamez and Bro. Joe Kindoll will officiate the funeral service.
