J. Warren

J.C. Warren, 78, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN.

He was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., on February 17, 1931 to Vernon and Elizabeth Martin Warren. He was a retired farmer, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Whites Run Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His nephew who cared for him, David W. Warren of Sanders, KY; 2 sisters; Evelyn Higham of Aurora, IN and Betty J. Shafer of Carrollton, KY; a brother; Robert L. Warren of Carrollton, KY; several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mollie May Smallwood Warren, his parents, an infant sister and a brother, Gene Warren.

Funeral services were officiated by Rev. Joe Kindoll on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Military Honors were presented by members of the American Legion Post #41 Honor Guard.

Pallbearers were Denny Perkins, Danny Perkins, Steve Warren, Randy Robbins, Mark Warren and David W. Warren. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Richmond and Simon Fox, Jr.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
