Jack Chowning

Jack, age 52, was born in Frankfort, Franklin County, Ky to Jeffery David "J.D." and Martha Hudgins Chowning. His parents preceded him in death. He retired in 2003 fron the Dow Corning Carrollton Site, attended the Owenton Christian Church, was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton, Ky and was a coach for the Carroll County Youth Softball League. Jack also was a member of the Carroll County Emergency Hazmat Response Team and was an avid horseback rider.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Chowning, a daughter, Joanna Beth Chowning of Carrollton, Ky, two sons, Jared Wayne Chowning of Louisville, Ky, and Jeffery Everett Chowning and his wife, Cortney, of Campbellsburg, Ky. Two brothers, Marshall Scott Chowning and David "Muffett" Chowning, both of Carrollton, Ky also survive, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jack is also survived by his faithful horses, Key, Bayou and Shyann and his faithful dog, Shedd.

The Rev. Chris White, pastor of Carrollton First Baptist Church will officiate the service.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Bureau of Land Management - Mustang Adoption Program, the Kentucky Thoroughbred Retirement Rescue Program or the Carroll County Parks and Recreation Department in care of the funeral home.
