Jack Miles

Jack C. "JC" Miles, 74, of Carrollton, KY., died on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Hospice Unit in Edgewood, KY.

He was born on February 2, 1934 in Gallatin County, KY., the son of the late Grover C. and Christine (Crafton) Miles. Jack was a retired Fire Chief for the City of Carrollton. He was a U.S. Army veteran. His memberships include the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Carrollton Masonic Lodge #134, Grand Chapter of Kentuck Royal Arch #55, Scottish Right Covington, KY Chapter and he was also an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife; Betty (Crawford) Miles, two step-daughters; Lisa McIntyre of Crescent Springs, KY., and Karen Wiley of Taylor Mill, KY., a son-in-law; Paul Wiley of Taylor Mill, KY., four step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife; Mary Louise (Bennedict) Miles, a daughter; Linda McIntyre Earls, a sister Mary K. Coffee, a brother; Donald Miles.

Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris White officiating the service.

Pallbearers were Randy Tharp, Strother Stark, Harold "Tinks" Dews, David Wilhoite, Bruce Westrick, Shawn Green and Aaron Earls.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Gifts were given to Crusade for Children.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

5:00 - 8:00 P.M. - Friday - July 25, 2008 at the Funeral Home.

11:00 A.M. - Saturday - July 26, 2008 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Interment

I.O.O.F. Cemetery - Carrollton, KY.
