James Burton

James "Jim" Burton, 56, of Carrollton, KY., died on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on November 6, 1953 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana the son of the late James P. and Virgina Gladys Brown Burton. He was a former factory machine operator. He was a member of the Carroll County Rescue Squad, Westside Fire Dept., Sons of American Legion Post #41 and the Country Rockers Band. He was also formerly worked with the Carroll County E.M.S.

He will be missed by his wife; Cynthia Burton, a daughter; Theresa Shaw and her husband J.T. of Carrollton, KY., three sisters; Joyce Thorton of Madison, IN., Donna Brady of Patriot, IN., and Marlyn Chrisman of Madison, IN., a brother; Tad Bladen of Indiana, and two grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Rickey Heck.

Funeral Services were on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Harmon officiated the service. Burial will be in the English Cemetery near Carrollton, KY.

Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
