James Cayton

James Ronald “Ronnie” Cayton, 64, of Carrollton, KY,  died on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born October 30, 1954 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Vane and Martha Jane (Lee) Cayton.  He had worked as a Truck Driver most of his life and had last worked for I.K.T. Transportation.  Early in his life he enjoyed farming.  He loved to build Dirt Track Cars and go to Dirt Track Racing Events.

He will be missed by his wife; Maggie Ann (Wall) Cayton of Carrollton, KY, to whom he married on  May 11, 1991, a son; Travis Vinson of Carrollton, KY, two daughters; Jennifer Lee Cayton of Carrolton, KY and Amanda Cayton Sowell and her husband Scott of Leakesville, MS, a brother; William “Bill” Cayton and his wife, Vicky of Bedford, KY, a sister; Peggy Swister of Lebanon, KY, and three grandchildren; Breanna and Abigail Barrett of Carrollton, KY, and Kelan Sowell of Leakesville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parent and a brother, George “Ricky” Cayton on December 6, 2015.
