James Crutcher, Jr., 89, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday evening December 30, 2007 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
He was born in Perryville, KY., on February 21, 1918 the son of the late James Julian and Stella (Taylor) Crutcher. James was a retired laborer from the Rich Ladder Factory and a member of the Gospel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years; Mary I. Moore Crutcher, two daughters; Verla Green and Brenda Raker both of Carrollton, KY., three sons; Kelley, Curtis and Lonnie Crutcher all of Carrollton, KY., two sisters; Revina Henry of Roseville, MI., and Gladys Followell of Franklin, IN., two step-brothers; Alvin Crutcher of Florence, KY., and Marvin Crutcher of Franklin, IN., along with ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother; Susie Lee Naylor Crutcher.
The Rev. Larry Workman and Rev. Darrell Workman officiated the funeral service on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
