James E. Doll, 75, of Turners Station, Carroll County, KY, died on Monday, January 13, 2020 at his home in Turners Station, KY.
He was born on July 12, 1944 in Carroll County, KY, the son of the late J. B. Doll and Dorthea Lawrence Doll. He was a graduate of Carroll County High School. He had served his Country Honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He had retired from Dow Corning Chemical Plant in Carrollton as a Forklift Operator after many years of service.
He was a member of Turners Station Baptist Church and had served as a Deacon of the Church. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time and hanging out with friends in his garage. He enjoyed his FORD vehicles and took great pride in taking them to car shows and car cruises through out the area.
He is survived by a son; Jamie Edward Doll, and his wife, Stella of Caryville, TN, a brother; Brad Doll of Turners Station, KY, a sister; Jo Ann Jackson and her husband, Andrew of Carrollton, KY, and a grandson; Dallas Doll of Caryville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1964 and his mother in 1990, his wife; Shirley Jean Caudle Doll on December 16, 2018.
Graveside Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton with the Rev. Larry Franklin presiding over the service. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 12:00 P.M.—1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. The American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton will present Military Honors at the graveside.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
