James Griffie

James Griffie, 64, of Ghent, KY., died on Sunday morning, November 14, 2010 at his residence in Ghent, KY.

Mr. Griffie was born in Hyden, Leslie County, KY., on January 24, 1946 the son of the late Charlie and Edith Jones Griffie. He was a retired Machine operator from Arvin-Meritor, formerly Dayton-Walther in Carrollton. He was a member of the Pentecostals of Carrollton. He was a Union Steward for the U.A.W. Local 1813 and a member of the N.R.A.

He is survived by his wife; Pamela Jane Ragon Griffie of Ghent, KY., daughters; Janel (Eric) Eisinger of Springfield, OH., Jamie (Jonathan) Heimkreiter of Loveland, OH., adopted son; Greg (Teresa) Noble of Middletown, OH., (6) sisters; Jean Bray of Stinnett, KY.,Mollie (Bradley) Bowling of Oneida, KY., Ruby (Junior) Mason of Moraine, OH., Della Pollard of Union, OH., Brenda (James) Beglley of Sizerock, KY., Louise Griffie of Sizerock, KY., (2) brothers; Clifton (Julie)Griffie of Germantown, OH., David (Linda) Griffie of West Carrollton, OH., grandchildren; Andrea Eisinger of Springfield, OH., and Stephen James Heimkreiter of Loveland, OH.

Mr. Griffie was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Jeanette Woods and Irene Neal, brothers; John & Johnny Griffie

Local Funeral Services will be at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Pentecostals of Carrollton with the Rev. Ron Tiller officiating the service and on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church in Sizerock, KY. Local Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Pentecostals of Carrollton. Burial will be in the Griffie Family Cemetery in Sizerock, Leslie County, KY.

Pallbearers will be Greg Noble, Eric Eisinger, Jonathan Heimkreiter, Robbie Davis, Joe Hall, Clifton Griffie, David Griffie, Buster Jones, Cory Fox, Chuckie Mason, Jamie Bray, Gregory Noble and Lawrence Ray Bray.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
