James P. Hanlon, of Carrollton, KY was born in Vevay, Switzerland County, IN to Parker B. Hanlon and Margaret Darbro Hanlon. He was a member of the Milton Baptist Church, 50 year Member of The Milton Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post #41 - Carrollton, KY and was a retired buyer for American Tobacco Co. where he work in excess of 46 years. He also served his country in the US Army during World War II in the 82nd. Airborne Signal Co.
His survivors include: a daughter - Mary Hanlon of Milton, KY, a son - Larry (Elaine) Hanlon of Richmond, VA, two half sisters - Sue McAlister of Carrollton, KY and Latina Butters of Milton, KY, a half brother - Tommy Hanlon of Radcliff, KY., and four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his companion - Barbara Gosman of Milton, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife - Pearl Imogene Anderson Hanlon.The Rev. Ferrill Davis and Rev. Deek Dubberly will officiate the services.
Masonic Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM - Saturday at the church.
Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to the Milton Baptist Church or the Hanlon Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
