James Arlen "Jim" Hunt, 72, formerly of Louisville, Ky., died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his residence in Ghent, KY.
He retired in 1991 from Phillip Morris in Louisville, KY., in Management. He attended Centre College and Western Kentucky University, he was a Kentucky Colonel, he enjoyed playing the piano and as a young man he played for various Gospel Groups. He owned J & D Landscape business in Carrollton.
He served briefly in the U.S. Army, serving as assistant to the Chaplin of the Director of Music.
He is survived by three sisters; June Campbell of Lexington, KY., Linda Stevens of Clarksville, IN., and Jo Ansert of Louisville, KY., two brothers; Pete Hunt, Jr., of Russellville, KY., and Bill Hunt of New Albany, IN., a life long friend; Elmer Andres of Louisville, KY., several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Graveside Services were at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the St. Stephens Cemetery on Preston St. in Louisville, KY.
Memorial Gifts may be given to the Carroll County Humane Society.
At Jim's request cremation was chosen by the family.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
