James McNeal

James Roberts McNeal, 86, of Carrollton, KY., died on Monday morning, February 11, 2013 at his home in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on March 2, 1926 in Wheatley, Owen County, KY., the son of the late Siebert J. McNeal and Irene Roberts McNeal. He was an owner of McNeal's Hardware and Appliance Store in Carrollton. He was a graduate of the Carroll County High School and the University of Kentucky having received his Electrical Engineering Degree. He was a member of the Carrollton Rotary Club and the First Baptist Church of Carrollton where he had served as a Deacon. He had served on the First National Bank Board of Directors and the Carrollton City Council.

He had served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Jones McNeal of Carrollton, KY., a daughter, Nancy Elam of Georgetown, KY., two sons, Greg McNeal of Corunna, IN., and Brad McNeal of Carrollton, KY., two daughters in-law, Pam McNeal of Carrollton, KY., and Cathy McNeal of Corunna, IN., a son in-law, Jim Elam of Georgetown, KY., a sister Katherine Thompson of Wheatley, KY., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton with the Dr. Chris White officiating the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

Visitation

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

Funeral

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton with the Dr. Chris White officiating the service.

Interment

I.O.O.F. Cemetery - Carrollton, KY.
