James William "Jim" Penn, 72, of Campbellsburg, Carroll County, KY., died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on April 30. 1939 in Bethlehem, Henry County, KY., the son of late John Penn and Elizabeth (Neville) Barley. He had worked at the former M& T Chemical Plant in Carrollton, but most recently had raised cattle and was a part-time auctioneer. He was of the Baptist faith.
He will be missed by his wife, Brenda (Littrell) Penn, his daughter, Sandra Penn of Campellsburg, KY., his son, Jeffrey Penn of Macclenny, FL., two sisters, Alene Proctor and Geneva Smith both of Carrollton, KY., and one brother, John Penn of Carrollton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Roberta Deppe and Edena Clark.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Knox and Rev. Troy Stewart officiating the service. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the English Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
