James W. "Jim" Proctor, 78, of Carrollton, KY., died on Saturday morning, March 14, 2009 at the Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, KY.
He was born on March 14, 1931 in Trimble County, KY., the son of the late Walter and Gertrude Ball Proctor. He was a factory worker most of his life and attended Cove Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; Shirley Jean Bain Proctor, a daughter; Linda Powell of Bedford, KY., a son; Charles "Chuck" Proctor of Bedford, KY., a sister; Bessie Mahoney of Carrollton, KY., and one brother; Walter "Bud" Proctor of Carrollton, KY., six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Trudy Elizabeth Perkinson, sisters; Magnolia Perry, Claudia Crafton and one infant sister, a brother; Harry Tom Proctor and one infant brother.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, KY. The Rev. Charlie Harmon officiated the service.
