James Pyles

James Lee Pyles, age 91, of Carrollton, KY died Friday, December 5, 2014 at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in English, Carroll County, Ky on December 16, 1922 to Robert L. and Mary Lee McManis Pyles. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 41 in Carrollton and was a retired tobacco buyer for the American Tobacco Company where he worked for 35 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army, 317th. Infantry Regiment, 80th. Division during World War II attaining the rank of 1st. Sgt.
His survivors include his wife - Wilma Jean McCreary Pyles, and a son, Richard Lee "Petey" Pyles of Carrollton, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son - Kevin Douglas Pyles and a brother - Robert E. Pyles.
