James Steven Sanders, 64, of Carrollton, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY to Elmer Ray and Emma Jean Young Sanders, who have preceded him in death. James was a station attendant at Swifty Gas in Carrollton, KY.
Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth Hayden Sanders, Sons: James Sanders, Jr. and Ray Sanders - Carrollton, KY, Robbie Sanders - Louisville, KY, William Sanders and Jerry Sanders - Indiana, Steven Sanders - Hardin County, KY, step-son: Michael Hayden of Carrollton, KY, Daughter: Jeanie Riley - Pleasureville, KY, Step-daughter: Ellen Erwin - Alabama, Ssiter: Martha Hensley - Elizabethtown, KY, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
