Jean Tumbrink

Jean B. Tumbrink, 91, of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away on September 10, 2012 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

She was born on October 16, 1920 in Corinth, Kentucky, the daughter if the late John William Burroughs and Mamie Huff. She was the owner of the clothing store named the Town Shoppe in Carrollton, KY. The Town Shoppe was opened in 1960, caring women and children's apparel, Mrs. Tumbrink continued this business for 50 years. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church.

She will be missed by her son, Jim Tumbrink of Memphis, TN., two daughters, Jeanie Tumbrink of Durham, NC and JoEllen Tumbrink of Carrollton, KY., and one brother, M.H. "Dick" Burroughs of Pinehurst, NC. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Lawrence "Toots" Tumbrink, one son, Mike Tumbrink, seven brothers, Hobert, Steve, Jimmy, Wendell, and Julian Burroughs and Paul and Albert Cook, and four sisters, Flo Blair, Mildred Morris, Estelle Mosgrove and Gladys Yocum.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, Ky with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating the service. Burial was in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Visitation

Visitation-Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, KY. Prayer will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, KY.

Interment

St. John Catholic Cemetery, Carrollton, KY
