Jerry Supplee

Jerry Ray “Ratt” Supplee, 65, of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, December 2, 2022, at his residence in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on May 4, 1957, in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Jack Supplee, Sr. and Ella Catherine (Breeck) Supplee.  He was a very gifted and talented Crane Operator and had formerly worked as a contracted Crane Operator at the Kentucky Utilities Power Plant Ghent Generating Station in Ghent, KY.  Jerry was a very giving and generous person, always was looking out for the wellbeing of others, often buying food to give out and cooking for others.

Some of his favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, cooking, and playing pull tabs.  In his younger days he and his family were members and attended the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton, and when Post #41 was closed on Mondays, he would invite people to his house and jokingly refer it to Post #42.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Sarah Supplee of Carrollton, KY, and Jeremy Supplee of Pendleton, KY, three brothers, Jack, Jr. and his wife, Patti Bond Supplee, of Lexington, KY, James Leon “Jimmy” Supplee of Carrollton, KY, and Jonnie Mac “Jon”  and his wife, Pat Franklin Supplee of Carrollton, KY, his sister in-law, Jo Kay Supplee of Carrollton, KY, five grandchildren, Mallory Mercedes Besselman, James Wyatt Supplee, Landon Ray Supplee, Brendyn Keith Besselman and Sawyer Brooks Franklin, several nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father on January 18, 1992, and his mother, May 28, 2004, a sister, Helen Virginia “Junie” on July 7, 1988 and her husband, Charlie Grobmyer, a brother, Fred Allen Supplee on September 7, 1995, and several aunts and uncles.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
