Jimmy Lee Johnson, 70, of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday afternoon, October 16, 2015 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

He was born on August 25, 1945 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Elkanah Johnson and Eula Shaw Johnson. He was a self employed Carpenter for many years and of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam Era. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton and the American Legion Post #9 in Madison, IN, the former Moose Lodge in Carrollton and the Masonic Lodge #134 F & A.M. in Carrollton.

He will be missed by a daughter, Julie McIntosh of Owen County, KY, two sons, Charles Johnson of Sandy Hook, KY, and Jason Johnson of Jacksonville, NC, three sisters, Jewel Wolfe of Carrollton, KY, Barbara Burkhardt of Milton, KY, and Mildrene "Mickey" Morris of Charlestown, IN, three brothers, Glenn Johnson of Sparta, KY, Leon Johnson and Jerry Johnson, both of Carrollton, KY, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Michael Johnson, two sisters, Juanita White and Doris June Hylton and five brothers, Garvin, Winston, Johnny, Joel and Clayborn Johnson.

Full Military Honors will be presented at the Graveside by the American Legion Post #9 from Madison, IN.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Visitation

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 11:00 A.M.a�"1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Chris White officiating the service.

Interment

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.
