Joan Quaranta

Joan F. “Joanie” Quaranta, 62, of Carrollton, KY, formerly of Youngstown, OH, died on Monday, December 6, 2021, at her residence in Carrollton.

She was born on April 11, 1959, in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of the late John W. Siefert and Evie Best of Columbiana, OH. Joanie had owned and worked as a Tour Guide for Fine Friends Tour Company and was a 1977 graduate of Boardman High School in Boardman, OH. Since retiring she enjoyed spending time gardening, canning and crafting.

Joanie is survived by her mother, Evie Best of Columbiana, OH, her daughter, Christina (Bill) Duritza of Boardman, OH, a son, Jerry Quaranta and his partner, Sarah, of Boardman, OH, the love of her life, Jeff Dermon of Carrollton, KY, sisters, Jeanie (Tony) Salem of Columbiana, OH, and Debbie (Dennis) Dickson of Alabama, nine grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Siefert, her stepfather, Richard L. Best, her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her beloved pet, “Hunnie”.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
