JoAnn Virginia Cox, age 73, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord Monday, September 29, 2014 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born February 14, 1941 a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Geneva Leonard Yates, and she has lived all of her life in the Bristol area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Eaf Cox.

Daughters: Regina Ann Smith, Rita Gay Lubecke and friend Allen Eaton, Rachel Lynn Cox and Renee Darlene Harr
Son: Dewey Benjamin Cox and wife Brenda
Special kind, devoted and very loving companion: R.C. Kelly
Sisters: Eva Phillips, Sue Humphrey and husband Earl, Norma Whitaker and husband Kyle, Joyce Johnson and husband Randy, Becky Carter
Brothers: Ben Yates and wife Brenda Sue, Rick Yates and wife Brenda

A Funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 6 pm prior to the service. The burial will be 3:00 pm Thursday at Sunrise Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Bink and Susie for their loving care & support. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Connor and the Wellmont Medical ICU Staff.
