Joann Sutherland

Joann Sutherland, 69, of Worthville, Carroll County, KY., died on Thursday afternoon, November 22, 2007 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on April 10, 1938 in Trimble County, KY. the daughter of Elmo Russell Leach and Lela (Morgan) Leach. Joann worked in the Dietary Department at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital for twenty years. She was a member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church having been active in various church activities.

She is survived by her husband; Walter Sutherland, Jr., of Worthville, KY., two daughters; Pamela Stewart of Warsaw, KY., and Kimberly Wright of Worthville, KY., a sister; Helen Taylor of Madison, IN., two brothers; Mike Leach of Dupont, IN., and Bob Leach of Madison, IN., five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services were conducted on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. by the Rev. Jonathan Haynes at the funeral home chapel. Burial was in the Worthville Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial gifts were given to the American Cancer Society.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
