John Boots

John A. Boots, 66, of Perry Park, Owen County, KY, died on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN.

He was born December 21, 1946 in Gallatin County, KY, the son of the late Milford Edgar "Dude" Boots and Frances Mann Boots. He was retired from the Kentucky Utilities Power Plant at the Ghent Generating Station in Ghent, KY, as a Supervisor. He was a member of the Glencoe Baptist Church in Glencoe, KY. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.

He will be missed by his wife, Patricia Burgess Boots of Perry Park, KY, a son, Joshua Aaron (April) Boots of Carrollton, KY, two daughters, Mary Kathleen (Jeff) Smith of Sparta, KY, and Kerri Lanette (Lee) Atkins of Bagdad, KY, a brother, Tommy Boots of Louisville, KY, a sister, Janet Faye Boots of Perry Park, KY, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services were Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank McGee and Rev. Pat Butcher officiating the service. Burial was in the Napoleon Cemetery in Gallatin County, KY.

Visitation

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Funeral

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank McGee officiating the service.

Interment

Burial was in the Napoleon Cemetery in Gallatin County, KY.
