John Chadwell| Jr.

June 13, 1954 — December 21, 2009

John William Chadwell, Jr., 55, of Carrollton, KY., formerly of Memphis, TN., died on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. He was born in Madison, Jefferson County, IN to the late John William Chadwell, Sr and Stella Mae Osbourn Chadwell. He was retired/disabled from the United States Navy and retired facility manager for Time-Warner. A member of the Christian faith, he was also a member of the American Legion Post #41 and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include: his wife - Leigh Marshall Chadwell, 4 daughters - Jennifer Lynn Munsie of Worthville, KY, Jessica Spenneberg of Carrollton, KY, Julie Chadwell of Prospect, KY and Kelly Claire Chadwell of Carrollton, KY; a son - John Marshall Chadwell of Memphis, TN; 3 brothers - Roger Chadwell of Sanders, KY, James E. Chadwell of Sandusky, OH and Gary Wayne Chadwell of Carrollton, KY; and 12 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters - Linda Chadwell, Joyce Chadwell and Betty Chadwell; a brother - William Ray Chadwell; and a grandchild - Cody Chadwell.

Members of the United States Navy will serve as pallbearers and members of the United States Navy and American Legion Post #41 Honor Guard conducted Military Rites at the cemetery.

Services were officiated by the Rev. Jay Montgomery on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
