John Wood

John Phillip Wood, 66, of Milton, Trimble County, KY, died on Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home in Milton, KY.

He was born on July 17, 1951 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN, the son of the late Harry W. Wood and Madalyn Lehue Wood. He was a retired Crane Operator & Lube Specialist from the Dow Corning Chemical Company in Carrollton, KY. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Owen Wood of Milton, KY, his son, Benjamin (Amy) Wood of Pendleton, KY, two step son’s, Scott (Magina) New of La Grange, KY, James G. (Beth) Overton of Milton, KY, a step daughter, Shannon (Scott) Skirvin of Georgetown, KY, three sisters, Phyllis Forbes of Rocky Mount, NC, Judy Taylor of Burlington, NC, and Emily Wright of Milton, KY, two brothers, David Wood of Burlington, KY, and Pete Wood of Milton, KY, eight grandchildren, Sidney Anderson of Georgetown, KY, Braden Skirvin of Georgetown, KY, Austin, Logan and Larissa New all of La Grange, KY, Collin, Morgan and Emma Claire Overton, all of Milton, KY, one great grandchild, Zaylon Simon of Georgetown, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dee Joslin.

Burial will be in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, KY.
