Joseph Martin

Joseph Henry “Joe” Martin, 74, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on May 23, 1942 in Crossville, Cumberland County, TN, the son of the late Neal Martin and Fannie Carruthers Martin. He was the owner of J & N Electronics in Carrollton with his wife. He was a farmer and had been a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed collecting Tractors and Farm Equipment. He was the oldest member of Pomona Baptist Church in Crossville, TN. He had been attending Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton. He will be missed by his wife, Nancy Collett Martin of Carrollton, KY, two sons, Scott Martin and Steven Martin, both of Carrollton, KY, two daughters, Sandi Jones of Crossville, TN, and Anna Martin of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Catherine Lewis of Crossville, TN, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wanda Martin. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cove Hill Baptist Church, 4751 Mound Hill Road, Carrollton, KY 41008. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the Cove Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Westside Fire Department or donors choice. Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
