Joseph Shannon Moore, 87, of Worthville, Carroll County, Kentucky, was born on July 4, 1937, in Morehead, Rowan County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 21 2024, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.

A retired accountant, Joseph dedicated his professional life to ABB Contracting.

Joseph is survived by his son, Brian Moore of Worthville, KY, a sister, Opal of Morehead, KY, along with several grandchildren who brought him joy pride. His family will forever reflect on his warmth, wisdom, and the memories they shared.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Claude Moore and Nancy Largen Moore; his wife, Loretta Collier Moore; his sons, Timothy and Joseph Shannon Moore, Jr.; daughters, Sherry Sanders and Tammy LaShea Moore; brothers, Clyde and Earl Moore; and a sister, Juanita.  Visitation services will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, KY. A graveside service will follow on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Moore-Messer Cemetery located in Morehead, KY.

Joseph Shannon Moore will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he imparted to those around him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
