Joyce Boggs

Joyce E. Boggs, 81, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Daniel Drake Center in Cincinnati, OH.

She was born at home in the English Community of Carroll County, KY, on December 4, 1936 in the daughter of the late Benjamin Martin Marshall and Essica Meadows Marshall.  She was a graduate of Carrollton High School and of the Christian faith.  She made her career at the former First National Bank and retired when it was known as Star Bank, in downtown Cincinnati as a Executive Assistant, having started in 1955 and retiring around 1999.

In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards with the Condo Card Club, she was an avid reader, she loved NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds.  She enjoyed listening to Country Music and traveling to the beach with her family, she thought family time was one of the most important things that you can do in life.

She is survived by two sisters, Dona Wells of Carrollton, KY, and Judy (Larry) Keith of Sanders, KY, and a brother, Robert (Sue) Marshall of Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Thomas Boggs on April 9, 2001, her son, Bradley Thomas Boggs on August 1, 1986, three sisters, Dortha Parker, Jean Schirmer and Eula Robertson, two brothers, Benjamin Richard “Dick” Marshall and Charles William “Charlie Bill” Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home,
